Sunday was our one-year referral-versary! It was such an exciting surprise last year when we got the call because we hadn't been expecting to hear anything on the weekends. My sisters and Grandma were over and I was in our guest bedroom when Adam came in with a huge smile on his face and said Sheila (our adoption coordinator) was on the phone. I immediately started shaking and grabbed my computer. Adam finished talking to Sheila and we nervously opened our email which told that we were soon to be parents to a beautiful little girl! We hadn't made a gender preference so it was fun to be surprised with the news that we would have a girl and to have a picture of her. A year later and we couldn't be happier. Zaidee is just so full of life and brings so much joy to our lives! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to have her in our family.
Last weekend my siblings and I all met in Denver. We celebrated my nephews 1st birthday, went to the natural history museum, ate some delicious pho, went to the local antique mall, and had a ton of fun! I love my fam :) xoxo
I am a Flight Attendant and Adam is an ophthalmology resident at the U of U. We brought home our beautiful daughter from Ethiopia in april 2012. And we are expecting another little girl in January. Follow us on our journey!
